I really don't understand why Lexus discontinued the IS-F

It would've been faster and a lot more practical than the RC-F

The IS-F is only temporarily dead. I thought I read an article on Autoblog a month or so back that said the Lexus CEO had signed off for a new IS-F to be built (with no specific time table).

There will be an IS-F IMHO. They have the power train and drive train readily available. And the IS chassis doesn't differ much from that of the RC. All they would have to do is to add more aggressive exterior components to make an IS-F happen. Plus Lexus would need to have a M3 competitor anyway. I really don't see why they would pass on this opportunity.

That would be GS-F not IS-F.

I'm assuming he's referring to the lower base weight of the IS compared to the RC, which could potentially lead to a few ticks off of the 0-60 time.

So sad they stopped making them. Some guys at the office had V6 mustangs they went and got 5.0 V8s i wish i could trade in my 350 and get a V8 IS. The RCF wont fit my kids.
