Exclamation IS 350 - Color, Warranty, and Negotiations?

All,

I am fairly new and I know there are topics already existed for this but I have multiple questions so I hope you could help me making an informed decision. I am not asking whether I should buy a lexus or not as someone else already had started it (I'm monitoring that one too).

So I am wanting to treat myself a luxury car for once in my life. I am 33 and has no debt so would want to get a nice car to drive. I have never owned a Lexus although have ridden in one with some friends. I am sold on the comfortability and luxurious interior of it. I want to OWN one.

My question is what color do you like most? How did you come to choose the color you want. I am very indecisive on this part because almost all colors the lexus come with (except the black) make it look girly to me. Like a girl car.

For Warranty: What are my options? If you have purchased yours brand new, did you opt to go for extended warranty? Was it negotiable and at what mileage level you're looking to have warranty at? I plan on owning the car outright and probably drive it for a very long period of time.

For negotiations, how much of room on this area? How much of a price is a good deal for a Lexus? Should I buy a brand new one or used Lexus and get the warranty on top?

My experiences of owning cars are mostly imports like Honda and Toyota. I have never owned a luxury sedan before.

thanks so much in advance for any inputs and advice.

The Ultra White w/ Roja Red interior is BOSS.

I kept with the standard warranty. Lexus makes some of the most reliable cars in the world.

10% off MSRP is a really good deal, 12% is a great deal. You can get this in most markets if you try. Check out the pricing thread to get an idea of what kind of deals people have found.

I didn't even consider any other color than white, because it's just so perfect for the car in my opinion. But it's totally a personal decision that someone else can't really make for you.

As for the extended warranty, you can add it at any time before your original warranty is up and the price doesn't change. I probably won't get it, as I bought a Lexus for the reliability and I hope it proves me right.

And I agree that you should take a look at the what price you paid for your IS thread to get an idea of how much you can negotiate.

Look at the colors in person, brochures and online are not exact. An F Sport is in no way girly , never seen one driving one. I got Atomic Silver - slight champagne in sun, charcoal tint otherwise. Nebula Gray second and maybe Matador Red but that would get me tickets.

For DC, best is probably 5-7% off list, though a few 2014s should be maybe 10-12% as said.
