I'm planning on getting the Pirelli Nero All Season Run Flats. They're pretty good all around and I wanted run flats for just in case.

Default rough ride

I'm looking for new tires that have a quiet and soft ride. The factory 18" tires are too loud and I feel every bump in the road. Maybe it's just the suspension?

They've got the taranza 255/35/18 rears 225/40/18 fronts. (IS250 non f-sport)
Seems like a rough ride to me.

I wanted to update this post after some more experience with these tires. Basically, the roads around here in Boston killed the AS3s. After about 9k miles I had two tires with sidewall bubbles, replaced another tire from hitting a deep pothole, and had another one leaking air. I don't think any of this was due to the AS3 being a bad tire. The roads around here are just terrible after this winter. I'm pretty careful about swerving to avoid potholes too, but new ones appear and surprise you.

The tire place offered to give me a $900 credit to replace the Michies, so I got the Conti Extreme Contact DWS06. All I can say is Wow, it's a night and day difference. The DWS06 are much quieter than the Turanzas or the AS3s were and the handling seems to be much more responsive. In addition, the Contis were cheaper than the Michies.

I'm really blown away by the Contis. I guess the DWS was discontinued and replaced by the DWS06 if you were wondering.
