Wondering if you guys could shed some light on this LED question (i used the search feature but wasn't able to find an answer to my question )

Im looking to replace the interior lights with LEDs (map lights, puddle lights, floor etc) do the 3IS need resistors in order to draw the correct load and NOT throw a bulb out light/not work at all?

I have this concern because I previously owned an Audi and everything needed to have a resistor.
I know HID Powerhouse carries the full kit but I'm looking for some other options.

So we don't need canbus led lights? I mean, there's no check in our IS and we don't need the "no error" version of the led lights?

The 2014+ Lexus IS does not require CAN-BUS compatible LED bulbs.

Unlike Germans, Toyota/Lexus cars do not have onboard diagnostics of bulbs, i. e. do not monitor resistance of them. So if You replace bulbs with LEDs, the jananese car doesn't "feel" the replacemen => no checks or errors )

what if you're replacing turn signals? will there be hyper flash without an led flasher unit/resistors?

For the front and rear turn signals, you will need resistors to correct the blinking speed when you upgrade to LEDs.

We offer a plug and play resistor kit that will allow you to install the LED turn signals without splicing / tapering the factory wiring.

was just about to ask that once i noticed the hideous orange that the lights omit when they aren't in use

How hard is it to replace the LED turn signals on the front/rear of the IS? I remember with my previous car it required removal of windshield washer reservoir, some plastic trim, etc. before one could get their hand into the world's smallest headlight cluster access panel.

For F Sport You do not have to remove anything for changing the front turn bulbs. For rears You'll have to remove the whole tail light from the fender.

Bummer...so the 2IS method of removing the trunk liner and just accessing the bulb socket won't work?

Nope. No access from inside.

Ok, thanks for the info. How easy is it to remove the taillight to replace the turn signal bulbs?

Can anyone confirm the proper bulb size for the front and rear turn signals? I'm getting 7444 from all my searching
