this looks so clean!

right nowim on bags and I have 20s and my ride quality is crap, specially in the rear, when i had my stocks i was great i had no issues, i have put 20s on other cars and the ride quality changes but this feels like im in a chevy 64 with hydraulics lol.. my dampening is at the stiffest. if i go softer it bounces more... any ideas what i could dosince this happened after i put wheels? #noob

Sgvlex sounds like you have some thin tires. 19s are perfect, I would go down to 19s to get a thicker tire if I were you

here's a test fit on my 350

RE30
19x9+40
19x10+45

RE30s clear the front calipers no problem, even at +40 offset.

the inner rim barely clears the control arm, like maybe 7mm. i can probably get away with skinner tires but i will probably be getting a 5mm spacer.

dnasians, do you have more pics showing the upper arm clearance?

I'm on the fence about going with a 18x9 +38 square setup and i'm concerned about fitting a 245/40 tire in there...

Thanks!

i was kinda in a hurry when i fit my wheels on, but when i tossed the 19x9+40 on the front, i had about a finger width between the inner rim and the control arm.

so with thinner tires (225 or so) i could probably get away with no spacers, but imma get some 5mm ones to be safe making my wheels effectively 19x9+35

Do you think a wide 245/40-18 (Michelin PSS) would fit? What kind of clearance do you have with the upper arm and fender?
Thanks!!

Here's a a few for completion's sake in this thread!

P.S. No Rubbing with this setup ( and on RSR Downs)!

Car just dropped on RSR Downs. Still needs to settle another ~ 1/6" down.

OEM Rear wheel/tire 2.5 lbs HEAVIER than the new larger wheel tire combo.

19x9.5 with Ohtsu FP8000 265/30/19 is 2.5 lbs lighter than OEM!

OEM front wheel/tire 1 lb HEAVIER than the new larger wheel tire combo.

19x8.5 with Ohtsu FP8000 235/35/19 is 1 lb lighter than OEM!

wow... this looks so good

Exclamation Update

Got them powder coated gloss black because the original finish they came with was just blah out-of-control matte finish ....and way too hard to keep clean .....plus i havent seen anyone else with these done like this ...so i like that first is always good! Full pic on next page....
