Hey everyone, I just lowered my 2016 IS350 F-Sport on Swift springs this Saturday, December 9th 2016.
I ordered a set of F-Sport Forged 19s that are 8 et 40 in the front and 9 et 40 in the rear.
I plan on running Michelin Pilot Super Sports with a fat square sidewall and I have passengers in the rear maybe twice a week.
Any suggestions on tire size??
I've found that most people are running either 225/35/19 or 235/35/19 front and 255/30/19 or 265/30/19 rear.
I'd like to go as wide as possible, while still keeping the car drivable without having to worry.
All suggestions and comments much appreciated.

Can't go wrong with OEM wheels!
Fronts: 19x8+40: these are very conservative specs (too conservative). I'd recommend getting a 10-20mm spacer to push the wheel out a little more. to make the wheel sit more flush to the fender. If you want a fat tire in the front, I'd stick to getting a spacer that's less than 15mm. I recommend a 15mm spacer with 235/35 tires. You can go up to 245/35/19 without rubbing issues (max 10mm spacer).
Rear: 19x9+40: These are decent specs for the rears, especially if you want a fat tire. I recommend getting 265/30. You can go up to 275/30/19 without rubbing issues.
Edit: And since you just lowered your car, did you get an alignment? I highly recommend getting rear camber arms (SPC makes them, and they're reasonably priced) and getting it aligned. Maximize the life out of those pricy rear tires!
Thanks for the advice. I currently have 20mm spacers on all four corners. If I keep the 20mm spacers in the front, should I go with 225/35/19 in the front? I don't necessarily care to have beefy tires in the front.
As for the alignment, I plan on doing that as soon as I get the tires mounted. I only lowered my car about five days ago, so I figure it can use a few more days to settle.
Would it be safe to say a good set-up to go with is 225/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear?

Hey guys new user here. I came from the modded Audi community, but have had a stock IS for a year now. I finally pulled the trigger and bought some Vorsteiner V-FF 103s and Eibach Pro Kit springs.
So far I've been very happy with them. The concavity in the rear looks great and the red center caps really stand out!!
New to Club Lexus, but not new to owning one as this is my 3rd. Originally owned a 2001 is300 and bought my wife a 2014 is250. Here is my IS200T FSPORT, riding on the following:

i just called Vossen myself and asked what would be the largest I could go without rubbing. I even had the shop that installed the RSR Coilovers say that it would run when lowered. I went ahead and told them I would deal with it and after the install they were even surprised on the perfect fit. No rubbing!
