Default Wheels and Tires

Hello all. My wife is a proud owner of a new 2015 IS 250 . They have 17 inch wheels with I believe 225/45/17's on them.

I have an evo x and it was very simple to select tires and wheels as I just went with 265/35/18's all around. After doing some research it is not as easy to do this on the IS 250

so a website said for the fronts the biggest I can go is 225/40/18 and for the back 255/35/18. For the wheels I wanted to go enkei raijin's, I'm just not sure what size i would need to go for the fronts vs the backs considering they're wider in the back.

Also, considering I'm going from 17's to 18's , what do I do about the spare tire? Will I have to worry about rubbing? My wife would go crazy if they'res any type of rubbing, the car is absolutely stock.

What are the specs (diameter, width and offset) of Enkei wheels that you plan on getting?

The stock tires on the is350 are 225/40/18 on the front and 255/35/18 on the back. You can always do that. Is the car AWD? You can get a square set-up in that case.

235/40/18 would work well on 18x8.5 wheels for the front or all around.

265/35/18 should be fine assuming you want to do 18x9.5 in the back.

You are in Cali so I assume the car is RWD

You can do:

18x8.5 et35 with 235/40/18 tires on the front
18x9.5 et45 with 265/35/18 tires on the back

So even if they recommend 225 front and 255 in the back I can go all the way to 235 and 265 respectively? Will I have to worry about rubbing?

Also, is there any specific spare I need to get ?
