Hi,

I upgraded to IOS8 and I'm now unable to play my music from my iPhone, anyone else have this problem?

Are you sure the phone is still paired to the car? I'd delete the phone from the car, and the car from the phone, then repair it.

Try streaming from an app like a radio station app. Also make sure the music is actually playing out of your phone and that upgrading to the new OS didn't cause some internal issue with your phone. I've been able to stream with iOS 8 with both an iPhone 5 and my new iPhone 6.

No, no problems for me. I upgraded to iOS 8 on my iPhone 5 and the Bluetooth connection worked automatically. Setup my iPhone 6 yesterday and had to pair the phone with the car, but since doing that, no problem with the Bluetooth streaming.

I'd say it's a problem with your car or phone specifically, not iOS 8.

You might be right as I'm able to stream music from my iPad which has IOS8. Really odd I can't do the same with my iPhone 5. I'm going to try restoring it back to IOS7 to check to make sure the bluetooth streaming works then upgrade again to IOS8.

My BT streaming is still working. The iPod connection via the cable is no longer working. It works for about 1 minute and then the dreaded "iPod Error" message will show up. I've seen this before prior to iOS 8. But now, it's 100% repeatable.

I got the same message for my iPhone, but reset the wireless streaming profile (your device - device info- select "default" - ok) and it worked like a charm. I did downgrade my phone to IOS7 but don't think you need to take that step

Default iphone 6 and ios8

I used an iPhone 5 with ios8 for a couple of days. It streamed fine from Spotify over BT but if I took a call it didn't update the song title.

Upgraded to an iphone 6 - now it streams ok over BT but it doesn't update the song title. Only get the first song's name even though I can move through the tracks. Also I no longer receive texts. If i receive a call its fine. If I then receive a 2nd call it doesn't connect. Shows up on the display but I can't answer the call in the car.

Weird!

I lost the ability to read incoming SMS a week after I got the car. It was wonderful when I had it. I tried everything suggested on this forum. Removed pairing, deleted all SMS, even cleared all personal data, and unplug the battery. Ultimately I gave up. I'm just glad the rest of the car doesn't work like the infosystem. Very low expectation of Lexus tech.
