Do they really ever waive it though, if it's significant? If they do, I bet they will tack on the cost to the next lease payment. The cost can really add up. At .30 per mile, if I changed jobs for example and had to put 5k more miles per year than I thought I would, that effectively adds another $125 a month to the lease payment (.3 times 5000 divided by 12 months). On a $450/month lease, that's adding up to 30% of their revenue. There is no way a dealership can afford to take a loss of 30% just to reward someone for return business, they're going to roll it into your next lease payment so it's less recognizable for what it is, IMO.
