Default CF Vinyl On Center Console & Interior Trim

Hello fellow 3IS owners!
I got some left over carbon fiber vinyl from a friend just enough for me to do some interior parts.
Im posting this just to share my result and for those who are unsure about the fake carbon fiber look on the interior

I'm more of a gloss look fan for the exterior. But with my result playing with the interior, I gotta say Im quite pleased with the outcome of the CF vinyl.

And most importantly, the carbon fiber vinyl does not leave finger prints or finger grease, at least not as much as it was

For the window switch trim, I did all four doors. Each with single piece of vinyl, so there's no seams.
As well as the center console.

I deeply apologize for not taking pictures of the install process, it took me some times and guts to take off the center console piece.

Feel free to leave comments or PM me if you need help disassemble the center console

I know…I know…you want the pictures…
Here it is…

It wasn't hard, the key is to take your time

The vinyl is fairly easy to work with on the indentation of the parts once you heat it up.
Just gradually heat it up and stretch and repeat. Note: there's limit of the amount it can stretch

I am near Mission Viejo in SoCal, you can usually get them from window tint shop, or PPF shop.

I got them from SunTamers in Laguna Niguel.

Rolotech in Anaheim sells them too.

Or you can buy them online, I personally prefer going to the shop and pick it up, that way they can also check it out for you and see how much you need so you don't end up running out or waste a bunch . Good Luck!

I had the shop to wrap my roof and shark fin in gloss black, that was when I first got my car, so I wasn't familiar with vinyl. They wrapped the shark fin with two pieces of vinyl. Im going to take it off and attempt wrapping it with single piece of vinyl. Because the seam is definitely noticeable.

Any cool ideas for mirror wrap?

Yea, what's going on here? Looks great but that's completely different from any 3IS center console I've seen.

That's the controller for the Lexus Display Audio system. This is on cars that are not equipped with navigation.
