Why would you ruin your car ?
Just use any removable mount such as this :
http://www.usjcycles.com/v2/wp-conte...rack_swift.gif
It costs around 80$ and it is compatible with almost all cars.

Good roof mounting solution
Just installed the Yakima Q Tower system with 48" bars and Yakima Q clips.Fits flawlessly with no drilling required and very very tight fit. The shop I bought it at www.autoracks.com was pleased to see there are slight indentations in the roof line, clearly indicating where Lexus wants the clips to go.A good span between the bars, "more then most installations" was the techs comments. Thule does not make anything for our cars was his comment, but Yakima is ahead of the game.

Hi, All–
Would this work? http://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitc...leid=201429741
It requires one to remove the exhausts.
Thanks.

Thanks.
1. These mount in between the exhaust hangers and the frame/body so when the job is complete, your exhaust will hang slightly lower than stock; maybe 3/8". Difficult to notice but it is lower.
2. You most likely have to trim the heat shields to make clearance for the hitch.
3. I didn't have to remove my exhaust completely, I supported it and dropped it slightly but if you can remove it, do it. Removing it will make the job very easy. Not sure if this is the case with the 3rd gen.

Bike rack for IS?
I'd like to go biking. I've never put a bike rack on any of my cars....too afraid. Anyone using a bike rack? Any suggestions? In this case price is not an issue as I will pay for a rack I can feel sure won't damage the car. Thanks!

I bought the temporary one for two bikes, since I do not want to cut my bumper or diffuser . Additionally I covered the bike mount with insulating foam ( used for A/Cs tubes) to prevent any solid part from rubbing against the body of my car.
