Default How Much Should I Sell My 3IS for?

2014 IS 350 F sport. Black with black interior. A little less than 5000 miles. Mark Levinson navigation, variable gear steering, etc. Any ideas on how much I should sell it for and where to sell it? I cant find any used ones to compare. I live in Atlanta. Any help would be appreciated I need to get an SUV to accommodate a new addition to our family

Im probably thinking around 36000-38000 depending on condition. People are getting brand new IS 350 sports close to 40k

Thanks, I've never sold a used car this new before so it's new territory for me. I'll definitely be sad to see it go

I don't know your situation (kids, other cars in the household), but we went way overkill for our first kid. I had my 4Runner and my wife had a Prius v Five. Way more than we needed. One car that fits all the kid stuff and the family is sufficient. The other car just needs to be able to haul a car seat (or two depending on kid count). I traded my 4Runner for a rav4 limited and we are in the process of swapping my wife's Prius v for an IS or FR-S. We are also finished at 1 kid, though. YMMV.

Wow we almost have same taste, I traded my 11 4runner for the 13 rav4 and I traded my FRS for 2014 IS.

Expect to take a 20% hit on your IS. If you trade it in, take it to several different dealerships, as the amount offered for your trade could substantially vary.

Indiana has a 7% sales tax on new automobiles, and the tax is applied to the final transaction amount. So, if you lived in Indiana and traded your car for $38,000, you would have a $2,660 sales tax savings on the new vehicle transaction assuming that your new purchase is greater. Not sure how Georgia taxes new car purchases, but at least in Indiana the sales tax advantage lessens the pain of trading your car to a dealer.

Hold onto your shorts - you won't enjoy the ride...
Sell price = what the other party will pay and your situation on how fast you want to move out of it.

Same in Jersey.
Definitely worth just trading the car in with those numbers or anything close if the sales tax situation is the same.No selling hassles.

Maybe in CA you can buy one that cheap but probably not anywhere else especially the Northeast.

All I got to say is that my sister bought her fully loaded IS350 F sport 8k off close to 40k. This is east coast Maryland. Deals are out there

But again did she finance? Did she trade in a car? Did she buy add ons? Not impressed with off sticker prices because they are more often than not an illusion unless car paid for in cash. Just did a quick search and the best I've found for a new IS350 Fsport loaded is $44,400 here in the most competitive market in America -- LA.

Op start with CarMax and work from there.
