Default What is this brake noise????

When I release the brake after a full stop, I will hear a low-pitch noise that sounds like "boop" from the brake. Other than that, the brake is fine. I'm not sure if this is something that I should worry about.

I have the same thing happening to me as well. I think it has to do with the pads still being so new and being high friction pads for Fsport models. Sometimes applying the same brake pressure as I did with my old cars is to much for this car. I tried stopping but just pushing down on the pedal to much, just enough to stop the car, and upon releasing its a smooth take off.

ALSO I noticed that when I start up my car on the past cold morning, reversing out of my driveway the breaks make a squeaking sound..now it stops after I start driving. im assuming because the pads are still also so new? anyone experience anything similar?

In addition to your comments, I have a feeling that my low-pitch "boop" noise from the brake is due to the recent weather condition in NYC. It's cold, icy, and wet outside. I was driving this morning, and that low-pitch "boop" noise became very low that I could barely notice it.

I also experienced the "squeaking" sound while reversing out of my driveway. I think this is due to the brake dust on the disc, but this will go away as you drive.

I got the squeaking on the braking after sitting overnight but goes away right away. Any noises during this time I attribute to the excessively cold winter and salt/dirt.
