Best option to replace F sport Brakes
Dealer charging me $350 to replace front brake pads. Can someone help confirm if thats reasonable or should I look into a mom/pop specialist that can do it? Is the F sport brake pad only available by Lexus Dealer? I can't find the part online. Thanks.

Brake pads are a common maintenance item that just about every automotive shop should be able to do.
As long as you don't get a completely idiotic shop to replace your pads - you should definitely be able to shop around for a cheaper price at a ma and pa shop.
Also ask if machining rotors (if needed) are included in the price you shop for.
Sewell Lexus online parts store shut down, otherwise I'd recommend you get the pads through them.
But for now, http://mylparts.com/ has them - look through the vendor classified for the 10% additional discount coupon too

to be honest, changing the brake pads is the easy part. just have to get your rotors turned at a shop if you want to save even more money. also...dunno if it still works for these cars but w/ my is300, I just asked for the part number and then called a Toyota parts dept. 9 out of 10 times they had it and it was cheaper than lexus.

I have the 350F, Love the car, Can't stand the brake dust on the front wheels. Ian sure over time all the dust will affect the wheels/paints finish.
My local dealer claims there are no other compatible Lexus pads for the car, They said the Non F 350 pads won't work...
Is that true?
If anyone has used them can you provide me a part number please!
Hoping to use OEM pads to resolve the issue. I don't track the car so losing a few feet of stopping distance is ok for me.
