I found that the equalizer on the phone hurts the audio quality on bluetooth. I was surprised when I turned it off what a difference there was.

Is it right?
My IS has stock audio and no sub...
You should think twice about that IMO. The trunk being sealed is what gives a sub that kick in the back of the head feeling. If you put it under the seat it would be a totally different kind of sound, like a pick-up truck (their only option). The whole car would vibrate with the sub and that may be your preference, I like having the punch when a kick drum is hit or the bass is hit hard.

Me too!
But I don't like when people outside of the car can hear a lot of that sound...
A good way could be to install the sub in the original position of ML. What is the size of that sub?

Subs in the trunk are horrible. I sound comes through the rear seats, which colors it badly. If you do this, I recommend a very low cross-over frequency, like 75 Hz.

Today I finally installed the subwoofer in the trunk. It's great!
I chose a DS300.3 (300mm - 12") powered by an HCP 1D, all by Hertz
