Default Meguiar's DA Polisher

Anyone else use this device, and seem to have a hard time keeping the pad stuck to the plate? The fastest speed I use is 4, and I seem to have to pull the foam pad off and center it on the plate frequently. It is just plain annoying.

Any tips you might be able to share? Did I buy the wrong device =p?

Edit: Gah - I prob should have put this thread in the detailing section.

I been using Griot's Garage Random Orbital Polisher for last several weeks on my 3IS and I have not had any issues with the pad moving. It stays exactly where I put it even at the highest speeds. I have Lake Country 5" and 3.5" backing plate that I use with Lake Country pads.

I bought a new backing plate for my meguairs DA.
The stock one just has to short and soft velcro, so it does not stick to the pads at all. When the pad gets warm it's even worse.

So I just ordered something I found on ebay. Just search for a backing plate with correct fitting, on ebay or amazon. Cheap and easy solution.
