Is this totally legal to black out / tint the reflectors? I dont see other cars with them. Taking my car to the shop to black out window trim and grill, and may add this to the list of things to be done.

Black LED rear reflectors with turn signals and brake light~ It's pretty bright during the day too Also there are LED clear and oem red for sale too

Doubt they will give tickets for them considering majority of older cars don't have them.
I've had blacked out reflectors with LED for a year and half. I live in LA and I pass by tens of cops daily and ....many times they were behind me O_O...
or maybe I just luck out?

Thanks for the replies guys. Was only thinking about the reflectors, but with you guys showing the tinted tails, I might have to give that a go too. My car is black and unless the cop is really familiar with the design of the car, he probably wouldn't even notice that a reflector should even be there.

Maybe I'll just use some plastidip to black the reflectors out and see how I like it. Easy fix if the cops have a problem with it. I can fix it before they have time to write a ticket.. LOL

Dipped mine today. I hit it with a couple coats of gloss on top.

Are they easy to take off as well? Like if I changed my mind would I be able to reverse it?
