I just purchased my new IS 350 f sport back in December. For some reason I discovered alot of dust inside the car even after the dealer washed it. I just have a feeling that the car was sitting on the lot for a while. When i checked the door jab, the car was built on 9-2013. I was wondering how long does it take for a vehicle from japan to travel to the USA? Is it fair to say if takes 1 month to arrive to the states then my car was on the lot for about a month.

The build on my car was also September 2013 and delivery was the middle of October the same day it arrived at the dealership.

I've witnessed some new cars that have sat around for over a year at the local BMW dealer. The etching and damage from bird droppings and sloppy lot washing is rather severe at that point.

Ordered mine the end of August, got built mid-October, arrived at dealer the weekend before Thanksgiving.
