Just an update.

Filled up with Hess 93 gas and reported 24.6 MPG hand calculation. I had gone 372 miles and filled up 15.1 gallons when the pump stopped.

Its increased since my last few fillups as the temps have gone up to the mid 50's for the daytime high which helped.

I also checked my Average Speed during this tank and it read 49 miles per hour. This is just to show u how much highway I take as opposed to city driving.

I agree, warmer weather has helped quite a bit. Was getting 17, 18 in the cold of winter and now up to 22, 23 mpg in the warmer weather. No city driving or highway driving, its what I call rural type driving rolling hills with average speed limit 45 or so and stop signs and stop lights every mile or two.

I have never averaged over 24.5 in the highway. According to my computer my average is 16.6 mpg. Mostly city driving. You are lucky to get those mpgs.

Did you check the tire pressure? In my 350 it is 37lbs all around and in two to three weeks after refill its back to 33-34lbs. I average 22mpg and my best case is 26mpg mix driving in Eco mode. The long stops is what drops the mpg quickly.

I went to key west and 95% highway i got 29mpg with an average speed of 70mph.

Again double check the tire pressure.

Same, fbgmike, and I have nearly 10k miles now.

Have you brought your car back to your dealer?

If so, what have they said?

This is shameful.

According to computer gauge i get better gas mileage on the highway in f sport mode at about 70 to 75 mph. I haven't done Hans calculations because I don't always drive in sport mode.

I've been getting around 23 MPG in my brand-new IS350, less than 1000 miles on the ODO. Mixed driving.

that's mainly due to the fact that there are less cars in MN compared to CA. Traffic in every which way you go

Convinced Lexus uses "cycle beating" to evade the fact my car gets poor mpg's:

Anyone with poor fuel economy get Lexus to address the problem?

My car has had three problems since new, including:

POOR MPG’S,
POOR HEATED SEATS, and
SLOW / DELAYED RADIO / NAVIGATION SYSTEM

The car has been to several dealers multiple times.

After getting nowhere with Lexus Customer Service, I contacted Lexus’ Executive Offices, which put me in contact with an executive assistant who eventually deferred to regional representatives I previously dealt with. After a few phone calls, I asked that the problems either be resolved or that the car be replaced, at which point I was told there was nothing else to do but refer my matter to Lexus’ Lemon Law team, which just sent me the attached letter.

What does “the vehicle showed a lack of necessary maintenance” mean? My car just went in for its “Second Scheduled Maintenance Service” at 10k miles and previously had its “First Scheduled Maintenance Service” at 5k miles. What else could they be looking for? How should I respond?

Thanks.

Surely you'd admit that poor seat heaters and slow navigation are subjective. There is no objective measure, and a lemon law claim seems excessive to me. Poor MPG, on the other hand, is objective and you should be able to demonstrate a false claim by Lexus.

I'll admit, I haven't had any of these problems, but you're acting like Lexus is ignoring your claims, when there really is no objective way to prove that there's something wrong with your car.
