Hey guys,

I got my 3IS 350 F-sport AWD late July and I have noticed that majority of the times when I'm braking while reversing, I hear brake noise like squeaks...does anyone know why that is and how it can be fixed?

Chowner, is it possible to make a quick video and post? The RX is notorious for brake pads clicking when braking on reverse, but I haven't noticed any noises on my IS. I'll pay closer attention today (with window down) and report.

Mine just started doing this at 2,500 miles.. I'm going in to have it checked after the holidays

I ran some tests today and no noises. Maybe it's with the 350 (and the bigger brakes)...

I also have the is350 Fsport. I have the same problem. I only have 500 miles on mine, so I figured the squeak is from the breaks being new.

I don't know where you guys live, but it's cold here and the streets have been wet and salt covered for almost 2 weeks straight so I'm thinking that has something to do with it. Road grime on the rotors all night as my brakes only make that noise first thing in the morning when I back out of the garage. Once they are warmed up, they make no noise in reverse or when coming to a stop.

I went to a body shop and it was the dust. He had to take out the tires and cleaned em up real good. No more brake noise.

I tried making a video but whenever I did, it didnt make that sound lol

I have the 250, and it's not all the time but sometimes for me. I took it in but they weren't able to replicate it.

you guys wouldn't like real performance cars then, brake squeal is synonymous with good braking.

Just started to notice brake squeal on my 2014 IS350 AWD F Sport at about 6k miles.

Not sure if coming from the front or back.

Not when coasting and not under min or max braking, but under moderate braking.

Should not happen at this mileage.

VERY ANNOYING!

Any dealer fix yet?

Mine started to squeal at around the same mileage as yours. It is definitely rear breaks. The front f-sport pads are soft and they usually don't squeal but very dusty. The rears non f-sport ones do. One SA at Lexus dealer said they either squeal or dusty but never neither lol. To be honest I don't care less so long as they stop well. My main gripe interior squeaks and rattles. I really hope that this vehicle will hold its interior rattle free for another two to three years but I doubt that.
