To those of you with the LED headlights, is the cutoff wrong?
the driver side peak coincides with the lower portion of the passenger.

I always thought the driver upper cutoff with level off with the passenger upper cutoff making it one straight cutoff.
I turned on the high beams and they are level? Any ideas?

Angry low beams

Maybe I'm crazy but on my 2018 ES300H the low beams light about 120 feet ahead and the auto high beams are coming on very frequently. From what all i read the low beams should light almost 300 feet so you can stop at 55 mph before hitting an object. I have a 2019 Toyota Camry ESE that has low beams that light at least double the distance of my 2018 ES300H. I'm sure the type of low beams is the same. My dealer says they are adjusted correctly and cannot go out and further. That's no more than for white lane lines on my car which is 120 feet. I feel something is wrong especially with my high beams going on and off frequently on the ES300H. On the same roads my 2019 Camry XSE high beams do not go on at all and the low beams are sufficient. I expect to be stopped by police for flashing high beams. I need to see the road in front of me. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety will do nothing about it though they do report many new auto low beams are insufficient. I have on file a complaint with the NHTSA. I had a dealer loaner 2019 IS for two days and those low beams were also out double the distance of myES300H. I did ask the dealer why the right side headlight on the IS lights out further than the left and the dealer stated" It was purposely made that way"????

19 Camry=new gen stuff.
18 ES=old gen stuff.

Most of the 19 cars have updated projection systems. you just own a car with last gen headlights. the redesign (7ES) should have redesigned projection.

For anyone wondering--Normal.

LED projection typically does not get as sharp a cutoff as HID. It's a very fuzzy hazy curved cutoff with lots of soft dispersion and rainbow effects.

That doesn’t explain the distance being 120 feet instead of 300 feet.

Talking Weak headlights

I have solved my 2018;Lexus ES 300H very poor headlight illumination. It’s 2-3 white middle road linesor no better than 150 feet.
I discover that driving entirely using high beams at night gives me at least three times the illumination and much better side illumination.
stange as it may seem no driving coming towards my Lexus has flashed their high beams to show my high beams are in their vision. This is over the past month and hundreds have care have driven towards me and even those in front of me.
my only conclusion is that my low beams are really my daylight running lights and my high beams are really my regular lights thus I really do not have a high beam setting.
Lexus dealers and Lexus corporate states nothing can be done as nothing is wrong. Just perhaps a manufacturers defect in the setting of the light holders as they are the self adjusting type.
Perhaps after I return my leased vehicle someone in the vast country will become aware of a inherent problem with the headlights.
i am now completely satisfied with my use of high beams all the time at night and they apparently do not cause problems with other drivers.
