No need to order it separately...
Thanks to the MOD for restoring this thread to the original JDM Lexus Japan parts Only information...

Question concerning this kit. I think I've read every post concerning the fog light installation and I'm beginning to go cross-eyed! From what the owner's manual states, the fogs only come on when the low beams are turned on. With the JDM kit using the stalk, is this function the same? Like many others I like and want the fogs to come on with the parking lights but I light the idea and look of using the stalk. Has anyone been able to put these two ideas together or do I just have to delete the stalk, install a separate switch and wire the fogs to the parking lights or separate power? TIA

^^ When using the OEM stalk... You have to run the control wire to it..
For the ones we've done, we chose to run an Accy wire for them, operating when the Ignition is on ONLY.
So it becomes standalone operation, only when the car is ON

Joe - Thanks for the info. So if I understand you correctly, by running it to an Accy wire we are then able to use the stalk to turn the fog lights on while just the parking lights are on? Do the install directions recommend a certain one?

Operates when the car is ON.
Essentially, the Fogs can then be turned ON/OFF on demand...
The beauty is that you can't forget them left on.. Since when the car is turned off, they will power off as well.
Here's are work from TWO years ago.. Incorporating the OEM Stalk.

The control wire that comes from the aftermarket harness has to be routed to the new stalk..
The stalk connector is labeled K23 below.. They need to run the wire into empty pins 10 & 11 - to get the On/Off function to work as intended..
They need to be experienced in aftermarket wiring, is the bottom line.

Joe - I see that you mentioned the small green connector harness is not used with stalk installs so does that mean only the yellow wire from the other aftermarket harness comes into the cabin? If so how does this get wired to the K23 connector when it looks like wire is supposed to be run to both pins 10 & 11? BTW - I'm using the instructions listed on this and calmotors thread at the below link.

Also, does anyone know the Lexus or Toyota part number for the pins that are used in the K23 connector?

^^ Pins 10 & 11 will act as an ON/OFF in a loop wire...
Open loop.. Fogs off
Closed loop.. Fogs on
Just like a toggle switch perse..
I am not familiar with the harness provided in the kit these days.
Sorry

do you have a picture on how the control and on/ off wire is tapped in pins 10 & 11 inside the front bumper for reference of my installer?

Pins 10 & 11 will be empty on the FSport models...
( go figure no fogs... no wiring present )
Your installer has several options for wiring up the Fog Lights..
Using the new OEM stalk with ON/OFF function... He just needs to know that Pins 10 & 11 are the locations for the wires to be routed too.. That is what will allow your new switch to turn your Fogs On & OFF
As a fail safe your shop should pick a power source that will not operate the fogs when the car is off.
That way you can't accidentally leave your Fogs On when the car is turned off.
Hope this makes sense...

Usually you can pick a fuse tap in the cabin for somethjng not critical, that Only

Joe Z I tried to PM you, but your inbox appears to be full.
I have a 2014 IS250 Non F Sport which I am converting to an F Sport front bumper.
Since my car came from the factory with fog lamps, would it be a simple "plug-n-play" with the existing connectors into the new JDM LED Fog Lamps OR would I still need to splice wires?

Just need the LED Fogs, JDM Covers & Brackets inside the bumper for Fsport (holds the fogs)
