what a waste of money!

you know when people put these intakes on and everyone wants to know hoe good it sounds proves my point of people who just like to buy worthless "performance mods" that do nothing more than make noise. the true definition of rice if you ask me.

lexus went to the trouble to design a low restriction airbox that actually has a functional cold air scoop. even included a resonator so everyone can now hear the intake. and they still aren't happy!

You loose a few ponies but gain an ear to ear smile every time your up in the revs. There isn't much you can do to add power to either the 250 or 350 without adding forced induction, so why not add a mod to boost the awesome sound of the V6.

Nice mod OP.

You sir are probably tough to deal with in person - right? It's okay if you are socially crippled. We will guide you along little one.

Who wants to hear the intake?

If you're prefer sound, get a manual car like the G35 and listen to the growl of the exhaust.

Seriously? You're willing to sacrifice HP/TQ for better sound effects and under-the-hood bling? To each his own, but the 3.5 really needs more grunt. The IS 350 will only see the tail lights of a Q50 and a 335i and you're only neck and neck with an F30 4-banger in the quarter (wait until Dinan sells a flash tune for the 328i, and the IS 350 will get spanked by it as well).

As pretty as this intake looks, and as great as it may sound, I wouldn't be willing to sacrifice performance to get one. Another concern: is it safe to run without a tune?

Just my opinion here, YMMV. My philosophical objections aside op, it does look good.
