Default Curbed my rims =(

I just scrapped my front right rim on the curb while getting out of a parking space. What's the best way to fix it or make it not as noticeable? They're the F Sport rims, so the scrap is quite noticeable on the dark rim.

bring it to a wheel shop.. what part of California?

If normal, wheel techniques can do it for about 80-$120 depending on scratch

I'm not sure if I got a wheel/tire warranty... honestly, I don't know if they even offered. I did get the extended 5 year service maintenance. I wonder if this will be covered. I'll have to check.

Lexus does not offer any wheel protection unless it was leased.

I curbed my rims three weeks after I got my car. Here are some pics of before and after. I had a guy in the Bay Area do it, fantastic work, can't even tell I had any curb rash on my rims.

To bad you're not in the OC / LA area. There is a guy here that has some good reviews. His prices are pretty good too. He is popular in the BMW forums, just google his name..

He's also mobile... On Sat / Sun he's over at the AutoToyz parking lot working on local cars.

This is a mobile guy, he does $125 per wheel, so doesn't really matter how extensive the damage is I think. $125 seems higher on what you guys have been saying, but its very convenient as he travels all over the Bay Area. I had him come to my work place, if you have it done this way he'll need to do it near an outside outlet.

Thanks everyone! I'll go the dealership route first and if they can't do anything, I'll give JS Interiors a call.

Wow, it's not necessary to cap out false. I've called multiple Lexus dealerships after I curbed my rims, and they all gave me the same info I stated. They've all said Lexus do not offer any wheel protection.

Also, it wouldn't matter as Lexus would third party out that job anyways. So might as well go for someone whose primary job is repairing rims.

And who are you wishing luck to? He doesn't need any luck, this is a simple issue that can be repaired in one hour. And I have tire warranty from a separate vendor that would replace a torn sidewall in less than an hour, don't need any luck over here either.

Simple truth is that for many it's just a matter of time before curb rash happens with our low profile tires. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize it's all that more obvious with our grey rims. Instead of spending $75-100+ each time this happens, is there any way to tie ourselves over with some type of touchup paint (until there's enough damage to warrant a legit repair)? If so, can someone please point me in the direction of same? (On BMW a similar color would be named Ferric Grey - BMW Style 312's in Ferric Grey are AMAZING - but I don't know what the name for our F Sport Wheels are...)

ALSO, can anyone tell me how lease turn in is impacted by curb rash? Say we're turning in our car, not getting another Lexus and have something similar to either of the two incidents pictured above; are we asking to be surcharged if we don’t repair same prior to turn in?

Insight would be a huge help.

THANKS!

I have already curbed one of my front rims. It wasnt even that bad, but it really shows on these wheels. I also have been looking for some color of touch up paint to get me through until I get the time to get it repaired properly
