You ever get this fixed?

What were the results?

I'd like to have some type of backup in the even I curb my rims as well.

Thanks

Likewise, I too would like know if there are any particular recommended touchup paints.

Thanks!

I can do this myself, but my god it's too much labor and I would rather pay $250 for the rim repair.

Also, the rims of the F Sport, are very difficult to match up to anything.

The best thing you can do is utilize the touchup paint from sewell, or use one of their silver blends.

The day after delivery, while waxing the car, I noticed a very small surface chip in one of the wheels. The local dealership parts department stated there is no touch up paint available, but a web search found a thread from Sewell that indicated Toyota paint code 1E3 Phantom Gray was a match for the IS F wheels, so I ordered the touch up. Hopefully it will be a close match.

Difficult to believe that there is no touch up available.

I too have a small scratch on my rims, not sure how it got there.
It's actually a small chip.

I picked up one too, but there's also a clear coat on the rims as well.

Thanks for the research

I curbed my rims three weeks after I got my car. Here are some pics of before and after. I had a guy in the Bay Area do it, fantastic work, can't even tell I had any curb rash on my rims.

Before:

Same Area After:
i've owned 5 Lexus vehicles and they've all had the W&T package and none of my cars were leased. the problem is that you have to deal with a third party and if they deem your wheel is not that bad they won't honor the warranty... in other words your wheel has to be ****** up in order for them to consider replacing, at least that was my experience. i had a tire replaced with the warranty.

That sucks, I usually park a foot away from curbs I don't try to get right up on them so I've never had this issue. Looks like the fat tire lip "rim protector" doesn't do anything but look stupid, glad it saved your wheel.

This happened to me awhile ago and I took it to the dealership and they fixed it for me for $130. I don't know if they sent it out anywhere or fixed it there but it looked brand new after.

The lip doesn't do anything when the tire is stretched.
On the pictures it looks like 225's on a 8.5" rim, and that's not the optimum tire for that rim.
