Also, I think the dimming might be mirror-independent? So just because the center mirror is dimmed, the side ones will be triggered separately. This kind of makes sense since the center dimming mirror is standard on all cars, but the exterior ones are not. Just a guess though. I'll pay more attention to see if my exterior ones actually dim.

$3k off is insulting with that many miles. I got $3500 off mine with a little work and it had 90 miles on it.

ABOUT THE MIRRORS, MY 2013 GS 350 AWD FSPORT has BSM but no cross traffic alert and no dimming side mirrors.

Just checked tonight, and my BSM-equipped F-Sport definitely has auto dimming mirrors. It's adaptive though, so it will only auto-dim when there are bright lights behind you (like on the highway) and will stop dimming in darker neighborhoods and suburbs.

Am I the only one who has BSM but never uses it? I always turn my head to check just in case.

Yes, I still always check anyways out of habit, and it's probably best that way since I drive other vehicles that don't have BSM. I think it's still gives some peace of mind, though, and could prevent accidents if someone comes blasting down at 30+ over the limit that I didn't see that one or two seconds beforehand.

I believe the intake resonator is opened up when the car is put in Sport + mode.

The intake resonator was clearly audible in the smoking tire video review.

on my GS it works all the time even in eco mode. it's just an attachment to the intake, there are no mechanicals and no electronics inside to turn it on or off.
i definitely ran the car up to redline and i heard nothing even remotely similar to my GS. maybe someone removed it or maybe because it was a demo was missing something?
dunno.

The resonator is not just on the F Sport. My non F Sport 350 has it. Now I'd love to compare it to the GS and see the difference.

the only way i can describe it, is it makes the V6 sound a little more like a V8 very throaty sounding

would that be an accurate description to what you hear in the IS?

That's a fairly accurate way to describe it. In any case, I love it!

It may be independent from each other, but I've never seen my side mirrors dim. It never gets that green tint, I took a picture of my rear view dimming while my sides stayed the same. Can you take a picture of your side mirrors when they're dimmed? I've had my rear view dim in full daylight.

you should be able to activate the mirrors in regular daylight by simply putting your hand around the back of the rearview mirror covering the light sensor around the back (front).
the mirror as all mirrors with this feature simply look at the light coming in from the windshield and compare it with the light coming into the sensor from the rear window on the front side of the mirror that your looking at.
when you fool the the sensor looking out the W/S into thinking its dark the ambient light in the car will trigger the dimming and if you have side dim mirrors they will dim as well. they usually take a little longer to change by a few seconds verses the rear view mirror.
