3M Paint Defender SPRAY - Anyone try this?
I know the 3M FILM has been popular and proven. Wondering if anyone has tried this SPRAY version on any of their cars?

Cough up the money for self-healing clear bra if you're really worried about protecting the car. With that spray you're just going to have to reapply once a year and it doesn't provide the same level of production. I just got my complete hood, front bumper, headlights, both fenders, side skirts, flairs by the rear wheels, and trunk lip covered for $950. 10 year warranty on the film. Find someone that will take their time and do a good job.

There is a thread on the 2IS page regarding this product, there are also many threads and reviews on other detailing forums...
General consensus: DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY
Reason: Terrible finish - very textured/a lot of orange peel. Makes your finish look dull. It is also a huge PITA to remove. It does not pull off in one piece as advertised (according to those who have used it), but it comes off in tiny pieces and takes forever and makes a mess.
Just pay for the real deal if you are interested in a clear bra.

Thanx! I asked out of curiosity and believe in the traditional film application. Your "general consensus" line is the quick answer I needed.
