Hi, All-

I am new to this forum and I am looking for some advice. I want to install an after market alarm for my 2014 IS250 F-Sport. Not sure what are my options? I wanted the added security as I park my car in not so well lit areas. I was thinking about installing the gbs, but my dealer wants $440 installed with purchase (that seemed a little extremely). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

On Amazon the alarm is 278$. If the dealer wanted 440$ installed how is that extreme? Thats only 162$ for install which is cheap.

Thanks for the reply. I meant the glass breakage sensor installed the dealer. What alarm are you recommending on Amazon?

I recommend Compustar. They make really good alarm units and have a bunch of features you can activated. Go for the higher models with longer transmitting range (2- way alarms) that would notify you when someone breaks into your car. =)

Thanks. I am going to go with the Viper and I am getting my Lexus dealer to install it. The only issue the dealer is stating is that:

"On the remote start, the only thing is the car will shut down in 10 seconds after getting in, when started with the remote start. You will also need a smart key, If you do not use one of yours, I can provide on for $200.00. This will be a hidden key."

What do you guys think?
