Winter Wheel Setup
I have a set of tires that were used for winter for 2 seasons on my last car which was not a lexus. the size is not the exact same as the lexus but wondering if i can run them.
I would be getting some 17"x8" wheels and the tire size is 205/50/r17. Would that be ok to run on AWD

Overall diameter, 636mm for your 17s and 637mm for the 225/40/18 (OEM). So in this regard, you're 99.8% perfectly matched.
Ensure the rest is a match:
Bolt Pattern: 5 x 114.3mm
Offset: within the range from ~ +35mm to ~ +50mm
Center Hub: 60.1mm (This is strongly recommended to match to ensure a vibration-free ride at high speed)

thanks for the info corrado. I'm trying to find a used set of 17" lexus wheels within the GTA if i can't find for a decent price i'll have to go aftermarket.
one last question do you know if stock 17" from previous gens IS will clear IS350 front brakes
also i'm trying to locate a set of TPMS Sensor's, i was searching online and came across a website that sells them OEMWHEELSLLCM however it seems they have many different models and such and not sure which ones i would need.

Sorry I can't tell you 100% for sure, BUT seeing that the base 350 today has 17s with the same bolt pattern, hub center and similar offset compared to the previous gen, I don't see why not.
