I would buy right now if it wasn't for $200. That seems pretty high

modding your car the right way (no half ***) takes money unfortunately. I'll gladly shelve out money for reputable parts. I learned a long time ago that half *** mods only lead to problems cosmetically or worse...mechanically (cut/heated springs??? ) If you REALLY want any mod, save up and do it once the right way. If you can't justify the cost leave it stock. This is a beautiful car stock. happy modding!!

Can't put a price on quality! I think the stock one is near $300. Just save up for it if you REALLY want it...you'll be happy you did. =)

Left is "TRD". Different pin connectors! It was advertised as FRS/FT86/ZN6 replacement. Bummer!

to be honest with you I never even compared the two. the button I received wasn't advertised as the button for the 2014 IS. I think it was advertised for the FR-S. In any case...I know mine fits, well mine obviously, and it also fits in the new gen GS. Who did you get it from? Id reach out to Nigel-jdm parts and/or JoeZ...they can help you get the right part. =)

Maybe JoeZ can chime in on what that connector is. And as he too warned, I got it on eBay...

I was warned by JoeZ about these buttons on EBAY. He said there were a ton of fake ones. But maybe you just got one for another Toyota and the salesrep never bothered to check if it would fit this application.

how much was it on EBAY btw? was it close to $200?

That connector is for the older IS generations... See how it has an indicator led light ?
That lights up when the brake pedal is pressed..

I can not tell you if you purchased a fake button or not from ebay...

All I can tell you is that one won't work on the new IS...

If you need help getting a legit TRD button from TRD Japan, let me know...
