Hey guys. Looking at grabbing some winter rims and tires early to beat the rush in the coming months. I have a 350fsport USB awd. I'm looking at running one size smaller as that's what I did on my last car. Looking at 17x7 square setup with tires of 225-45-17.
Looking at either of these wheels what do you think?
Also anyone run their winters without sensors and just leave the warning light on?
Not sure if this is helpful but for my Matrix and Corolla I use to have, I had winters without the sensors - no issues just ugly light - check once in a while or before/during long trips.
Not sure if there is any sound warning on the IS or just light
Some states are requiring that if a dealer puts on the wheels that you have to have the TPMS, just a side note. if you put them on yourself you are good to go

This is correct, to a degree.
The NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) says that if a vehicle pulls into a garage facility with a TPMS light on, it can pull out with the light on. If it pulls into a shop with the light off, it can not pull out with the light on. -another words, a garage facility can not knowingly disable a TPMS system. Also, some states do require a working TPMS by law, if the vehicle came with one from the factory. Those states are: Hawaii, Rhode Island, Vermont, and West Virginia.
IS3F, Enkei wheels are very good for winter use. As I am sure you are aware, they have a very nice finish and are well built.
Hey aj. Do you see any issues with the offset of the above rims going on a 350 fsport awd? Your website showed them for -1 sizing so I'm guessing there shouldn't be any issues.
Also does anyone know if for winter is it better to have more or less spokes on a wheel? Just curious about possible snow packing issues. My old car I ran steelies but I'm tired of looking at them.
If the website shows it when searching by correct year, make model, it's a guaranteed fit.
As for spokes, there are so many debatable subjects on that.
Some customers like to have a more closed wheel so the wheel doesn't pack with snow and some like a more open wheel so its easier to clean the snow out.
Some customers also like less (but larger) spokes so because they are easier to clean (as in washing).
Some customers say more spokes make for a stronger wheel
...again, so many debatable topics.
My personal thought, find a wheel that looks good to you. Winter is winter and I haven't found any wheel that is easier to maintain in terms of keeping the snow out. I do like the idea of having a winter wheel that is easier to clean when going through the car wash, however.
I am trying to figure out if these wheels below will fit my 2014 IS 350 AWD F Sport, any help is greatly appreciated!! I have been doing some research and looking in these forums and some people say that some 17" wheels won't fit with the F Sport calipers. I have a set of 225/45R17 Nokian Hakkapeliitta winter tires, thanks!!
