I stand corrected. The 2014 IS owner's manual does call out a number of different FCC ID numbers for the Smart Key, best bet is to always check the VIN to find out which smart card you need.
This information I am confident about:
89904-53510 for HYQ14CBB
89904-53511 for HYQ14FBA

I am beginning to understand why Lexus is more expensive in Japan. All IS models come with two fobs and a credit card key in Japan. The credit card key is really convenient.

Hi guys,
I have a 2017 NX and just found the wallet key I had from my old RX. Any chance it can be reprogrammed to work with my NX? Dealership says smart card keys can't be reprogrammed, it's a one time thing.

That is my understanding and what I was told when they tried to use the key from my 2014 IS on my 2015 IS.

I really like my credit card key, almost all Lexuses here comes with it and I cannot imagine buying a luxury car without one!
The only downside is the battery life, which is short.

In the same boat here. Although it's interesting I don't see the real value other than 'cool gadget.' Perhaps it's the price that steers me away. $300+ for unit + programming doesn't seem very worth it
