Default Just picked up my 2014 IS

Hey guys, just picked up my 2014 Atomic Silver IS250. I am so amped to be back in the Lexus family after dumping my 2013 Audi A5 that was constantly in the shop. Excited to have some great discussions with the members about our new rides!!

German cars never seize to amaze me with reliability issues. Welcome to the family.

Are those issues not covered under warranty?

Oh man. Id rather have the A5.

I just needed a 4 door since I have 2 car seats in the back. Which in hindsight I should have bought an SUV

Sorry to hear you had to ditch your A5. Your 14' IS will def. put your mind to ease every morning as far as reliability goes.

Sure all of the issues were covered under warranty but who wants to waste time having your car in the dealership once a month.

Just sounds like whining to me. I mean, repairs are just a normal part of having a car.

I'm not whining at all, just being factual. My A5 was in the dealership 10 times in 11 months of ownership, including it having a well documented steering issue that impacted all model lines using the electronic steering, which Audi switched to in 2013. I drove this car for 5 months with twitchy steering before I finally had my rack replaced. If you want your car in the shop as much as it is on the road, knock yourself out and go get an Audi. I just prefer a reliable luxury automobile. I understand repairs are part of owning a car, but having multiple issues on a car with 6500 miles is unacceptable.

There we go.. This is the kind of detail that I was looking for!! I'm quite interested in all of this, especially since I've thought about the idea of getting an A5.

Ok, it definitely sounds like you got yourself a lemon. I'd never seen maintenance issues this severe being reported out of a 2013 A5 before.

I take back what I said before--I just didn't get enough information from you to understand what the situation was, which is why I started asking for more information.
