Not a problem any longer. Many aftermarket providers have figured out how to bypass this limitation.

In Canada, there is no Enform system so no factory remote start.

In the US, the Enform remote start is not available on 2014 model.

Still a no go for the ones with Navigation, dealer RES or aftermarket. Or at least for my 2014 IS F-sport. Can't belief I couldn't have remote start for a car like this.

Hi Computerwi, can you please be more specific? I just tried to have a Viper SmartStart VSS5X10 installed on my 2014 IS 350 with Navi & ML and they couldn't get it working. We went to the dealership and had the customize option turned on for remote start communication and still a no go. Any help would be highly appreciated!

Has anyone got an aftermarket remote start to work on a IS3 with nav?

I had tried and get a viper starter into my 2014 Is350 with Navi but the installer said there was an error during the program saying that the car already has a remote starter behind the radio. He didn't want to be held responsible for taking apart the dash and everything. Have an appointment this week to see if the dealer can install their factory remote starter.

For those having issues, it can and has been done via an aftermarket module.

The aftermarket module was developed by idatalink, who has sells it to Compustar, Viper, etc. With this module, you can either use the factory remote or an aftermarket system which relays to this module. This is module you need: http://www.idatalink.com/product/product/product_id/1

just picked up my 2014 IS350 f sport w/ nav and it has a factory remote start. It's Lexus Certified ?? Seems to work good

I really just wish someone would make a piece of hardware so I could use the features of Lexus RES+ app my phone, but it'll never happen because it's an issue for only 2014 models

So i had this installed today and it seems to work ok with the starting of the car. It's the lock-lock-lock sequence that really isn't working well. It takes me about ten tries to get the car to start sometimes even longer. Any special tricks?

The car must register each press of the lock button. If you click too fast, some of the presses will get ignored. I generally wait until the vehicle beeps/flashes in acknowledgement before pressing it again. On the other end, if you wait too long between presses, the sequence will time out and you'll have to restart the 3x cycle.

My 2014 has a remote start installed by the Lexus Dealer.. I dont like the fact the car disables when you open the door! I Have a F sport with Nav...

Yeah, I looked in the manual but could not figure out a way to turn that off. Is it possible for the car to remain on when you enter the vehicle?
