What kind of MPG #'s are you guys getting?

I work from home, so I don't drive a lot. And I'm on highways about half the time. Mostly to the store, Starbucks, or the golf course.

On my first tank since getting it from the dealer, I averaged 20 mpg. This is with an 80/20 highway/city split on a 350 AWD, plus at least 45 minutes of idle time at the dealership and at home setting up the car. I'm also usually driving in normal mode and very occasionally in sport since I'm still in the break-in period. I love the sound and pull of revving past 4k RPM in sport mode, but it's hard to use without blowing past speed limits. I'm estimating that I'll probably even out around 22-24 mpg with the same 80/20 split.

90% of the time these cars are spent on city/hwy driving and that gliding feature is important IMO.
The same reason I dislike Dual-Clutch. They cannot crawl and glide.

I've been driving in eco for a while now, and I get 6.7 l/100km (35 mpg) with a good mix of city and highway. Best I've gotten in city is 3.3 l/100km (71 mpg) but that was just after reset and with an already warm engine. And mostly flat or downhill
I'm at 6800km/4220 miles. I'm using eco for normal driving, because it gets just so much more fun when you put it in S+, it's like getting a new car

350 RWD here. Went for my first fill-up after 498km. Calculated 11.2l/100km which is about 21mpg. I want to say about 40% highway 60% city and probably 95% eco mode. Pretty happy with that especially since its mostly been <10C during this time.
Edit: I probably drove about 10-15km after the gas warning light had come on and I still only filled up about 55 litres even though the tank capacity is 66. I could have theoretically gone another ~100km before actually needing to fill-up.

With just over 4000 miles so far, my average has been about 25.5 mpg. This is with Eco mode all the time except when I push on it and is in sport+ mode.

I just crossed 3,400 miles this week. I think it's all about the mode I drive in. I tested a full tank of gas in Eco mode and got the 27 MPG. Most days I drive in Sport because it's more enjoyable. If I'm going to be on the highway for more than 20 mins, I'll usually flip it into Eco.

I lived in Aurora for the past 4 years and altitude negatively effected MPG to my knowledge. What are you seeing enoren?

I've never heard that altitude affects gas mileage. I'd assume that the different mixtures mandated by law might negate any effects, but I have no idea. I've always been in Colorado, so I have nothing to compare it to.

Thanks. I'll try ECO mode again this week to determine if gliding is easier. However, the car seems sluggish is ECO mode. I guess it's a trade off, and selecting normal and sport is always there and easy to engage.

Damn I think something is wrong with my car after reading this thread. I live in downtown chicago and most of my driving is stop and go with occasional highway. My overall average is 14.1 mpg. It has gotten better than when I first got the car in July. The first 1,000 miles was around 11 mpg and now I'm around 14. I drive in mostly normal mode and don't think I drive that aggressive. My old 2008 IS350 was averaging 18MPG and my driving habits and commute are the same. Does AWD really suck up that much more gas?
