I went to my local Lexus dealership last week to check out the 3IS and the only F Sport was white w/ red interior. The salesperson then sent me the details on the next F Sport to arrive which is... you guessed it... white/red. Based on that, and what I'm seeing in the forum, I can only imagine there will soon be a white IS F Sport at every stoplight. I know white has been the most popular color for the GS F Sport, but it is at least metallic.

Lexus seems to think Ultra White is the color the car looks best in, but not everyone wants that color.

If the US market had Ultrasonic Blue available for the IS, I'd wager that USB ISs would be seen at every stoplight instead of Ultra White.

Stopped by a Lexus dealer today, dont think I saw a single white F sport in the row lol.. (maybe because they all sold already! haha)

This may be because that's all the factory is giving to dealers. Often a particular color is produced and it is force-fed to dealers who may or may not want that color.

As for popular 2IS F-sport colors, I saw more USB than any other. This just makes it even more strange they discontinued it.

In Canada, atomic silver/sonic titanium is available in F Sport and regular 3IS. However, silver lining metallic is only available in regular 3IS.

Yes the Ultra White/Rioja Red F-Sport will be popular and is the combination that i ordered but I look at it this way, How many ISs do I see on the road now? It has been 7 years of the 2IS and at least in my region, it is not like they are readily seen one after the other. Around here, most that are seen are either Starfire Pearl or Obsidian.

Certainly not the case here in Los Angeles.

Ultra white is one of the worst colors on this car, in my opinion. It brings out the beady headlights and reminds me of a boring fleet or rental car. White also symbolizes death in many cultures. But enjoy your white car!!

Good point. In my commute to work, the 2IS is the least commonly seen among the 3-series, C-class, G, and A-4. As well, there's only one IS (starfire pearl LOL) at my work's parking lot but 2 A4s, 3 Cs, and 2 3-series.

i see many 2IS's around here (eastern europe), mostly gray, silver, black and white... never saw an USB.

That is why they produce a variety of colors. I obviously like the white. It is the stark black and white contrast with the front grille that is really striking to me. I currently have a Starfire Pearl 2IS 350.
As far as the color symbolism, we could do that for any and all colors. I do not sweat it.
