Why don't you just send some emails out of state dealers and get quotes for the exact car you want, and let all the dealers know that you're getting quotes from multiple dealers, say you'll buy from lowest quote. Once you get quotes, make them compete some more. They will screw you over if they know you're stuck with only 2 dealerships.

I picked out the top 3-4 hungriest dealers and went through several rounds from there. It was actually kinda fun.
Had a few dealers that were pathetically condescending, including the one in my own town. Totally worth shotgunning all over the place (I did 10+) to find the dealers willing to live up to that denotation.

It didn't work in my case. When I tried that, the dealers around me would respond with "I have the car you are looking for. Come on in for a test drive." when asked for their best OTD price. When I tried asking again, they would ignore me. Except for one dealer that offered $450 over invoice on my first email for the car I wanted but had to order.

Kinda hard now that Lexus is pressing commercials advertising cars they don't have the demand is way up and they don't have product. Least here in my area. Early on it seems people could get cars. Now it is getting harder to get cars.
Ordered my car two weeks ago it leave Japan tomorrow or today Japan time since it's already almost 9am there.

On my special order I optioned:
- Nav w/ ML
- VGRS
- BSM
- PCS
- Pwr Shades
- Paint Protection Film
- Cargo Net
- Wheel Locks
Dealer said 60-90 days before I would get this at which time I have the option of trading my current car in for agreed upon price or sell it on my own.

My local dealer is running a lease special through September on the 2014' IS 250 with an MSRP of $37,188 for 27 months... NO money down. I was just wondering if thats a good deal or can I do better? Seems that is the best one going anywhere that I've checked.
