Price Paid for an IS250/350?
#466
In the end they waived the the doc fee entirely and took a couple hundred off the destination cost to show good faith about the verbal discussion plus they knew i was going to be flying in to pick up the car. Whether that was all fluff idk, but i took it
Ended up at $49,250 plus lease acquisition fee of $700 for a IS 350 F Sport AWD Ultra White / Rioja Red + NAV + ML + BSM, as the finance manger wouldn't budge at all on that one But since it was December when everything was closed out, Sat Radio went from 90 days to a 12 months and Lexus paid the first month lease payment, based on the promotion they had going at the time.

$700 acquisition fee for leases is non negotiable - this is the "bank fee" that LFS charges, not the dealership. It is, however, negotiable if the dealer marks the acquisition fee above $700. Lots of dealers like to do this, pure profit for them (above 700). If a dealer "waived" the fee, then that just means they had more wiggle room in the actual sale price of the car. Car buying is akin to squeezing a balloon - if you squeeze in one section, it'll expand into another.
Doc fee varies by state - in CA it is capped at $80 maximum (previously it was $40 a couple of years ago, recently raised).
One thing a lot of folks don't mention is the advertising fee. This fee is on the invoice, and most dealerships in large cities must pay the fee to cover advertising costs (i.e., commercials that say, "see your local SoCal lexus dealership for more details" blah blah). So when folks say they purchased a car for $2,000 below invoice, what is really considered "invoice"? Dealers when they hear this will automatically negotiate using the invoice inclusive of the advertising fee. This fee can be somewhere between $500-700, so it's something to keep an eye on.

IS250 AWD premium package msrp 40,500
hi all, this is my first post. just want to get a general idea what prices people are paying.
when i first purchase a 2007 lexus IS250awd, i was able to negotiate everything via email. all the dealers were able to provide OTD pricing quotes in email. purchased the vehicle i want and the price was right; process was smooth.
fast forward to today when i'm back in the market for another IS. i emailed 6 local dealers in the washington dc/md/va area. all of them saying the same thing 'we don't provide pricing over email"; maybe over phone. and the main reason 1 sales rep told me was ' price matching' at a competitor and they would lose business. what i'm thinking is, did all the local dealers got together and came up with this strategy? just curious, does other cities/areas not providing quotes via email also?
so, i finally showed up to a dealer and he offered the following:
2014 IS250 AWD premium package MSRP $40,500.
selling price - $36,400
dealer fees - $499
VA taxes 4.2% - $1550
tags - $80
- $500 rebate for using lexus financing
-----------------
OTD $38,030 with lexus 2.9% financing. good deal or can i do better?
many thanks!

I just leased a 14 250 RWD Starfire Pearl/Flaxen nuluxe with Navi/Premium/Accessory packages, blind-spot, and 18's for $234 a month on a 27 month lease with $2,000 down. Total cost included all fees. Montly includes taxes.
MSRP $41,858
Negotiated cost $36,600
RV 74%
MF 0.0011
MSRP $41,858
Negotiated cost $36,600
RV 74%
MF 0.0011
I'm trying to figure out the payment for $41,000 negotiated price with similar terms.
Thanks and Cheers,
Jamie

Hi Guys,
What do you think the approxiomate lease cost would be for an IS250 AWD with the Nav package on a 36 month lease with $5k total due at signing with 15k/year for miles? I'm a MA resident.
Thanks

Not knowing your credit rating or the exact MSRP of the car, I would guess around $400.00 a month. That would include the Mass tax being added to the payment. That was also allowing a $2000.00 discount off MSRP car which you may get more or less. Its not easy buying these cars in the northeast. Good luck

Thanks Toyotatom. That info helps. I'm looking for a new car for my wife and we'd like to stay in the Lexus family but she's leaning towards the A3 Premium Plus with Nav when it comes out in April. Maybe if the IS250's payments are less, I can sway her that way.
