You might have better luck on edmunds.com - there's a couple folks over there in the leasing threads who usually have up to date info on residual and money factors.

Default Internet buying?

What's the best way to shop for a new 2015 IS 350 online? Just email each dealer in the surrounding area? Is 12% off MSRP a reasonable starting offer?

If you go back a few pages and start reading you'll have a pretty good tutorial.

Just trying to filter thru all the lease info as I'm not interested in leasing.

Looking to lease an IS 350 F Sport anywhere in Florida. MSRP is about $47,500 (blind spot, navi, F sport). Is a cap cost of $42k doable? What is everyone paying upfront, especially with this first month payment incentive? Dealer is confusing me with a lot of fees (dealer prep 699, doc fee 699, electronic filing 98, etc.). Requiring first payment and fees upfront....

My goal is a 36 month/15k mile lease with $0 down for less than $500/month. MF should be 0.00065 in FL and RV is 61%..... Any thoughts?

I would first read this thread, then learn how to calculate a lease. There is a broker that I have seen good reviews for but I have NOT USED them but have spoken and they sound legit. evolutionlease.com . I would get a quote from them and have dealers beat that quote.

There's plenty of purchase discussion. Much of the lease discussion also pertains because in a lease you (should) still negotiate the price of the car.

I just send out a email to all the dealers around me, ~8 or so and got some quotes. Best I've gotten is 12%, or about 6k off MSRP, worst is 9%, or about 3.5k. I tried to get the 12% guy to go down to 14% or 7k, but he gave me a pretty lengthy no.

I wish I qualified for the LFS college $1000 incentive, but alas, I graduated from a Canadian university

I ended up picking up my 2015 250 Fsport with Nav, wing and a few other options. I don't have the exact numbers with me but I traded in my GTI which 100% of the trade in went towards my MSDs, 0 out of pocket and got 36 months, 15k miles for $350/month. I'm pretty excited.

Oh and I got 2 years of service for free( 4 oil changes), 10 free tanks of gas and first months payment.

Congrats and enjoy your new car!

Make sure they use the properly specified 0w20 oil for the oil changes. The Lexus specified oil change interval on these cars is 10k miles or one year - so not sure where they came up with 4 changes (unless they plan to use a lesser quality oil - so be aware).

Thanks for that. The sales dude showed me the scheduled maintenance book and it showed maintenance every 6 months or 5k miles. I think that's what they're basing it on.

Welcome to the forum!

Historically, deals in FL have been pretty good - sometimes rivaling our deals here in CA. You should be able to easily get at least a 10% discount off msrp - maybe more. You will need to push back hard on those two big 699 fees - if they stand, it will increase your payment about $40 a month. You should be able to achieve a payment well below $500 a month with no more than about $500 due at signing.

When you some more specific details like an offered selling price, please post and we'll try to provide some more input.

Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal for a 2015 IS250 F-Sport (White with Black Interior)? This was my 2nd offer. It is from a large dealership in So. Cal.

36 mo Lease

Price: $37,189
Down: $0.00
MSD's: $1,600 ( 4 )
Miles: 15k
Payment: $357 plus tax

First yr oil changes free
Free car wash with every service.

I don't really no much about leases and am wondering if I should get a car broker. I tried to sound like I knew what I was talking about because this was the first offer:

MSRP $41,930

36 mo Lease

miles............................. 7,500 yr
down............................ $1,974
payment....................... $349 plus tax

Welcome to the forum!

Please tell us the terms you are seeking - you set the terms, not the dealer.

How many months/miles?

See if you can find out what money factor they are using - if you have decent credit, the money factor should be no more than .00075 before MSDs.

Provide us the msrp and quoted selling price for the specific car you want.

With the info you have provided, the two deals in you post are not very good.
