The new Atomic Silver color is beautiful in person. Can only get it on the IS so far, but too bad not the FSport Models.

Seeing the wood with this interior -- I just don't think the synergy is there. Nice wood but it doesn't quite fit with the rest of the interior imo.

You folks in the US are unlucky with the color choice despite 10x the market over us. We can get USB and Atomic Silver on the F-Sport, the latter with Rioja Red interior as a choice as well!

I tend to agree the harmony is missing with all black interior. However, I would see the wood fitting nicely with the Flaxen or Parchment leather interior.

Andy, unfortunately not. Only Obsidian, Stargazer Black, and Silver Lining.

I see. For me, I have only seen Ultra white, Starfire Pearl, Starlight Black Mica, Nebular Grey and Silver Lining Metallic color variations in dealerships at different times. Actually Ultra white (F Sport) is very popular in dealership floor.

The wood seems to look better with Flaxen and Parchment leather because the overall interior theme of the 3IS is more sporty than the 2IS. Only lighter interior can dilute the sportiness a little bit. The situation is similar to the 1st Generation of IS.

However, it is not as bad as in 3-series because the wood color is more brown and the location of the wood is along the door grip handle (similar location as in 2IS). For black interior, I find the 3-series looks best in Sport or M Sport package where the wood is replaced with aluminium trim.

Yesterday evening I was able to take some time to look at a black 2IS (late 2011 or early 2012 from the plate), a black 4GS (apparently only a few months old according to the plate, though I struggle to believe it from the price), and the new black 3IS delivered that very day.

Anybody know what the shark fin antenna is for on the silver 350 with the optional 5-spoke alloys? XM-Sirius?

This is the first time I've noticed one in a picture (at least I don't recall seeing them on 3IS 250's or 300h's in pictures before).

The shark fin is for XM radio. I believe it is US market only.
