With the rising cost of gas, would you consider the IS 300h if it was available for North America?

Absolutely!!

I was doing this when I read it wouldn't be offered here.

I have some nitpicks with the car, but the more real life pics I see of it, I'm really liking it.

Just curious flip, have you or JoeZ driven the 3IS yet? F Sport 350 in particular.

I've seen it and sat in the new IS and really enjoy the new interior. Hope to drive the new car in the future.

I would seriously consider an IS 300h F sport. I know of many who would consider the IS 300h.

As nice as the CT 200h is, it is small, underpowered and cramped. The ES 300h is nice as well but is more for the older generation, cushy, FWD, larger in size. The IS 300h would be the right size, RWD, sporty, and geared more for the younger crowd.

Lexus bring the IS 300h and IS 300h F sport to the United States of America!!!

IS300h would be the trim level I'd buy. Not even the F-sport version.

You did this while I did this (directed at lexus)

F sport for me. I want the LFA gauge (still in the F sport only right) and that rear bumper for the h.

Hybrid is nice bonus

But what's the point since lexus isn't bringing it here?
I'm bitter when lexus does something lame for different regions

Why don't they just replace the 250 with a hybrid?

What would you guys pay for a IS300h?

I believe that the IS300 Fsport starts around 50.000 Euro over here so it will be something around 70k USD lol... i dont think anyone would be interested into it.

Its $5k extra. Virtually everyone would point out how you cant make up that money ever at the gas pump, which is right but they are missing the point.

It's the extra torque of the IS300h over the IS250 without the fuel costs of the IS350 that makes it worth getting.

extra torque down below but overall same speed probably with lesser consumption.

IS300h is the only one I would buy in Europe, and I might depending on the pricing.

EU spec:

IS250 208HP 0-100kmh 8.5s (2nd gen) 1605kg, 3gen will be 100kg heavier, which would be almost the same as the gs250 1715kg with the same 6speed gearbox, which does 0-100 in 8,6s

current information of the Is300h 223HP 0-100km/h 6.9s with 4.3l/100km

yeah, sorry but IS300h will not go 0-62mph in 6.9 :-).

Toyota Camry is same speed as IS250 and it is much lighter... IS300h has 20hp extra but also more weight...

Also, do we have euro weights for 3IS? Since engineer said 20kg extra with same spec car.
