the IS is a great car, but you can't really compare it to the GS, completely different class of car.
Of course they're different but the IS has moved up a bit in size, shares the same platform as the GS and has (for now) two nice options the GS doesn't, the 8 speed and LFA cluster.

The main point of the thread was to see what would be the better value due to all the IS changes and that the IS is a '14 (due in just a few mos) and the GS would be a 13 since her lease is up in March.The title of the thread was self explanatory.

Historically the S has always been built off a shorter modified GS chassis from the start in 2001. The new IS is a few inches larger in wheelbase from the previous, but the overall footprint is still smaller than GS.

Yes but it's now based on the new 4GS platform albeit a shorter one...should be great car, hoping they have a demo in FL soon like in CA.
