Default JDM 3IS pricing announced, pre-orders being taken

Not sure if this information can be found on any of the Lexus/Toyota Japan's official sites yet, but the pricing of the 3IS is already released in Japan and pre-orders are being accepted right now, according to this Japanese blog.

Here are my takeaways:
1. The base IS250 gets a 5.2% price increase.
2. The base IS350 gets a 4.6% price increase.
3. The base IS300h is priced 6-to-4 closer to the base IS350 than to the base IS250.
4. Basing on the above, the new US-bound IS250 should start from $36,888, the IS350 from $42,175, and the IS300h from $40,060, were it offered in the US.
5. The ES300h starts from $38,850, so the IS300h with its better powertrain and standard LED headlights would've been considered reasonably priced (at just $1,210 more than the ES300h) and would've sold reasonably well in the US IMHO.
6. Sell the IS300h in the US, Lexus!

there might be no base changes for US... it really depends on equipment and strategy.

I'd be surprised if it increased that much. Didn't they say they would be holding prices? Or at least that's been the current trend. The base 3-series starts at $32,550 for reference...

yea but those 3 series are bare bone that wont even compare to a base IS250 without the nickel and dime options

Yeah $32,550 get's you a 320i with a 180 hp version of the 328i's 2.0 Turbo 4. The $3,200 premium package, which I'm sure most on dealers lots will have adds Auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors, Storage package(no idea what that includes), Comfort Access keyless entry, 8-way Power front seats, driver seat memory, Satellite radio with 1 year subscription, Homelink Universal garage-door opener, Lumbar support, and Moonroof. So a realistic starting point is $35,750. The IS will have everything included in the 320i premium package as standard with the exception of memory seat and auto dim exterior mirrors, which will probably be included in a Lux package as they are on the current model.

I use to like BMW's, but they are getting way overpriced.

F-sport costs that much?? I'd rather get IS-F with that price.

not sure where the heck 60k came from

Best we can do at this point is assume the IS will start at the same price levels as they are now since the RX, GS, LS all have remained the same price then use the package prices on the GS to estimate your price

So what's going on with those numbers they show there? If that's japanese yen then the price would convert to 63k for an is350 f-sport in US dollar.... which is nowhere near the actual price, that's IS-F neighborhood. I know that 63k is no way going to be the price but why such a difference on the price there and the price here? Am I missing something?

Even 50k for F-sport is kind of high. You can get 335i fully loaded with around view camera and HUD.

Its $62k for loaded M-Sport 335i, without active cruise control.

Dont expect IS350 to be a lot cheaper at all... maybe $5k like 4GS, if that.

My GS F Sport was just over $60k. The GS and IS would be competing in exactly the same price category. Sorry, but it doesn't make sense.
