Sup all, been a long time reader but just registered. I've drove a is300 for a good 8 years till someone totaled it.
Always wanted to get the 3rd gen since I saw it come out. Figured having my car totaled was a good enough reason to upgrade. I just love the reflectivity of a well kept black finish so I picked up a 2015 black on black IS250 F Sport.
Gorgeous! I love black cars, but I've had so many that I got tired of the maintenance! So this time, I went with Nebula Gray Pearl and I love it too!
I just purchased a head turning 2014 IS 250 atomic silver with flax interior with only 7K miles on it....picked it up Friday....just like a new car but with a much more affordable used car price and clean car fax. I know I should do something about protecting the paint since it had a chip on the door and door edge....drove an Avalon for a bunch of years and the paint did not hold up well. I know Lexus has 2 grades of hood paint protection but there is a local 3M installer that people rave about that I am considering using instead of the Lexus dealer. Anyway, looking to learn more about my car from this forum.

I use to have a Mitsubishi Evo X MR for three and a half years!! I chose a Lexus because I heard many great things they have been doing and man... I am in love with my new lexus!
I have a 2015 Lexus IS 350 F sport in Nebula Gray ( currently burnt copper ) It has a black interior. I have lots of plans for this car and I hope some of you guys can help me out through out the process!!

Congrats on your purchase! Make sure that you purchase PPF (paint protection film). That will protect your paint from rock chips! That's the 1st thing I learned when I purchased my 15' Lexus IS. I didn't install it right away and drove the car for about 3,000 miles until I had it installed. Now, having a 2nd chance to do it all over due to a collision, I did it right away! Also, if you can, get a paint coating such as CeramicPro, Opti Coat, and others. They will also protect your paint and maintain its shine, but won't protect against chips!

New member checking in here. The volume and quality of information on this site is amazing and greatly helped with my decision to purchase a Lexux IS.
I have been shopping for a new car for several months (I'm a research nut) was going to go for the IS 350 but since the 2016 200t is out now I believe I'm going with it. While I know it will have no where near the power of the IS 350 it still does fairly well and since I commute 50 miles (one way) a day to work (only 2 weeks out of every month) something with a little better mileage was in order.
I'm working with several dealers in my area and will be putting in my order shortly for a 200t F Sport Ultra White with the Rioja Red interior. I have been told it will take almost 4 months for delivery!
Well, I couldn't wait the 4 months and after test driving an IS 350 F Sport this past weekend I pulled the trigger on it.
Yesterday I traded in my 2014 GX460 Luxury for a 2015 IS250C and all I am loving it!! First time ever to have a hard top convertible. We got a smoking hot deal on the car and that made it even more fun to purchase! Just wanted to introduce myself :

Longtime owners of Honda/Acura, we just purchased our first Lexus - a new 2016 IS 350 AWD Executive Atomic Silver/Black for my wife.
Her beloved 2009 Acura TL SH-AWD Tech (Batmobile) was recently rear-ended and totalled by a late model ES350 (that also died in the collision). Fortunately, no human injuries!
I've already learned a great deal from this forum and look forward to learning even more.
