Lexus Enform Remote--for 2015 3IS only?
A day or so ago, Autoblog did an article on the changes planned for the '15 3IS cars, among them Lexus Enform Remote, which will enable remote start from cell phones (among other things).
Any word as to whether or not this will work on the '14 cars?

I'm curious about this also..... I've tried to do some research on the topic and here's what I've come up with:
** The IS doesn't have an option for RES+ which leads me to believe that Lexus has other plans for the 2014 IS's.
** The 2014 IS already has Safety Connect. With Navigation etc. it should be very easy for Lexus to simply update our systems remotely and make this option available.
** When you click on the "availability" on the Enform webpage, the 2015 RX, IS CT, CT, GX & LX are excluded. I'm guessing those vehicles will still continue to use RES+. There's no mention of previous model years with Enform.

It has been stated in another thread that '14 IS with Nav will not even get RES let alone RES+. I really wanted RES+ and Lexus misled me on being able to get this on my IS.

I'm hoping that the '14 IS's with Nav will have access to the Enform remote as soon as the app and software is completed and/or released. It doesn't make sense as to why Lexus wouldn't atleast make RES an option unless they had other plans. Maybe I'm wrong but I hope I'm not!!

There is some kind of limiting factor on 14 IS w/ Nav that prevents us from getting the RES & RES+. I believe I saw another person post that it may be related to SOS button feature on 14 won't work if you install RES or RES+ but I'm not totally sure.

I sent Lexus an e-mail asking if the Enform remote will be available on the 14 IS. Unfortunately, they said it will not. I don't understand why either. I guess you can always get the RES+ installed, but I was told that the RES+ couldn't be installed on the new IS. However, I went online to the RES site and it says its compatible...

Weird fact, when you go to sign up for RES+ they request that you input your vehicle model. The IS doesn't come up in the drop down box. Only the CT, ES, GX & RX do...
