Extremely depressing event
Hey everyone just to share some of my experience. Picked up my car last month on May 6th got into a car accident on June 5th. I was going straight the other guy made a left turn obviously he was not looking and i collided with him. Doesn't look like much damage but the body shop has told me the damage so far is $10930 for repair. won't even get my car back till July. So far they're replace my bumper, headlamp. grill, hood hinge, fender, fender liner and lots of brackets and other misc parts. If you cant see the damage it's the entire front driver side that's damaged. I have a feeling the frame might need to be pulled.

Considering the damage to the Prius, you came out quite well. Hang in there.

I actually crashed into him head on a full speed 60 km/h. Suffering from whiplash I've already contacted my lawyer to purse legal action. Sucks how this car was new too after the accident it won't be worth much. Thank god this is a lease vehicle i can just chuck it back to the dealership when i'm done. As for the damage you've all read right it's 10k this is the qoute that the body shop gave me that they have submitted to the insurance company who will be covering all repairs. Since i work at a dealership i took a sneak peak to see what parts were ordered from them. The most expensive was the headlamp which is $1400.

is there a lady in the passenger seat of the Prius !!!
the Lexus looks like it fheld well on the impact
Keep in mind if the damage cost and repair is to high it'll be a loss and totaled by insurance

Yeah driving to work and collided at imperial and nelson.
Yeah there was a lady inside the car first thing i did was ask her if shes OK because most of the impact would have been absorbed on her side. Luckily she was OK at the scene of the accident.
