What was Lexus thinking when they made the 3is? It's 2014 and no phone holders anywhere. Lol. Need to find a solution.

My response is its 2014 and why do we need a phone holder. My phone is in a holster on my belt...and thats where it stays. With all the bluetooth handsfree connectivity I don't understand needing to mount the phone somewhere on the dash personally.

I'm with you, though I usually just leave it in my pocket. If I have it out, I can put it in the center console bin, the door handle grip, a cup holder, the door map pocket, up by the nav, or on my seat. There are plenty of places to keep it.

Good luck !!
It is made by a brand called YAC. The holder can be found here

http://www.amazon.co.jp/ヤック-YAC-PZ-5...hu-rd_add_1_dp

Or do a search with the keyword " ヤック PZ-580" on Rakuten.co.jp

Agreed. I usually leave phone in my bag or put it in the console bin. In the end, it is not recommended to fiddle too much with the phone during driving anyway. All phone calls and audio needs can be fulfilled by bluetooth connectivity. The only time when the phone holder is needed is when you need to access the maps on your cell phone.

I use this:
Amazon.com: InfiniApps Slyde CD Slot Mount for Smartphones, Cradle-less Universal cell phone holder with Quick-snap technology, magnetic cell phone mount: Cell Phones & Accessories Amazon.com: InfiniApps Slyde CD Slot Mount for Smartphones, Cradle-less Universal cell phone holder with Quick-snap technology, magnetic cell phone mount: Cell Phones & Accessories

The CD player is at the perfect height where i can lean back on the seat and comfortably swipe my phone while my arm sits on the armrest.

Only qualm i have is i have a largeish phone (S4) and if i put it too low, changing the shifter to P/R might cuase me to punch the bottom of my phone.

That would be true if the bluetooth worked properly in the IS. When I click on Albums it shows artists (using iOS) and navigating through the menu is pretty horrible.

You might want to have Lexus look at that. No issues in my GS, I know the IS is a little different but there's obviously an issue. I stream Bluetooth from my iPhone all the time and never touch the phone.

This probably the best accessory I have purchased for the car:

http://www.dx.com/p/universal-car-ra...s-black-313764

2 great features are:

1 - You can fold it back (so it's barely noticeable)
2 - You can easily turn your phone into a dash cam

Clipping it on is kind of pain (because of the design), but the rest of the design is pretty good. The only thing that is a little bothersome, is that the rear-view mirror feels loose in the IS. I wish it was sturdier so that clipping the phone in and out doesn't move the position of the mirror. Anyone know if the mirror can be tighten?

Well I always charge my phone when I hook it up to play music so that's why.

What do you guys think about this qi charger dock?
http://www.theairdock.com/

I just don't like taking the extra step to plug in my phone every time I get in the car. I'm not lazy or anything. I have the galaxy S5 and hate removing the usb cover every time I charge the phone. This dock seems really simple and requires less steps when getting in the car. Plus, I'm trying to avoid putting my phone on the center console since it get scratched so easily.
