If you want an alternative remote start with all the bells and whistles, look into Viper.

I made a thread about this, several people have chimed in regarding this topic.
You'll be more likely to see a white elephant on your street in the next 10 days, than RES+ on your IS.
https://www.lexusresplus.com/index.jsp

If you go to above site and click the compatibility tab go through the steps it shows that 2014 IS and iPhone5 are compatible and can have remote start/stop and lock/unlock if RES+ equipped .

Also when you try to build a car on Lexus.com it tells you that IS350 AWD F Sport only comes in White exterior. There are probably others as well.

I may have missed it but I didn't see anyone mentioning an IS2014 with RES+ Installed.

We're all misinformed about several things with Lexus unfortunately.
Please shed some light for us all, regarding who ever installed RES+ on their 2014 IS.

I've called Parts and Services even the Dealership regarding this and they said the same thing I said here.

Until I see someone with it, I'll be a firm believer.

Been interested in this since Day One, so any information would be greatly appreciated.
Will definitely buy it in a heartbeat if that's the case.

Thanks

why am i doing all the research for YOU! dude use the SEARCH feature, it's an awesome tool!

Page 2 ask those people if it works..

apparently they already been through the misinformation and decided to try for themselves. i believe it is true because from the lexus website it says enform, RES+ and app suite, none of which i believe are available unless you have navigation.

heres the deal, like sony home said go to lexus.com click on owners resources, then my lexus (you dont have to sign in) there you will see SMART PHONE TECHNOLOGY JUST MADE LIFE EASIER click compatibility at the top, then answer the questions. the 3rd question is do you have navigation yes or no? why would they put that in there is if it wasn't compatible? if you continue from there you can see all the features that do and don't work with the 2014 IS

I know this news is hard to take in, i know it is hard to believe and i know what everyone else says. but go ahead and pinch yourself, because this is not a dream! Lexus says it will work with your nav equipped IS vehicle!

So this thread is not about RES+ but just regular remote start which is controlled by your key fob.

I was involved in that thread, and I'm still unsure of it's content.
Maybe you or someone else can take the plunge first then I'll jump on the boat when it's safe.
Several posts agree about the misinformation. Best thing to do is wait for others to do it.

And I'm referring to RES+ not RES. There's a difference.
Illustrated in my previous posts, and several of my quotes you went over.

Appreciate your efforts in this matter.

i just edited my post while you guys were posting, pasting for your reference my edit

also notice the tap at the right top corner of the pic i posted it clearly shows RES+ and the features that work, this is the smart phone app. no question about it!

That's why I'm saying there is some misinformation on Lexus. Website information states it is compatible but a lot of people including the Lexus Master Delivery Specialist in this thread said it's not. I tend to believe him over any website info. Lexus needs to update the website with correct data.

I'm really hoping RES+ is available. Still waiting for price on the RES+ accessory from my dealer but as usual this will take several days for them to get back to me. They didn't say it wasn't available but based on my experience so far with the dealer it's highly possible they don't know any better!

One another option is the Viper Smart Start. If you look at the previous thread you referenced one of the guy has the Viper Smart Start installed. It's ~$300 and $50/yr.

i think it would be a lot more install work to get the viper going verses a plug and play system lexus provides.
i think sewell will sell it to you

Too much information, my head exploded.

There was someone here, cannot recall but he did install Viper on his system and seems to swear by it.

I myself, prefer the Lexus brand, because they'll warranty it for you as well.

I'll just wait and see, there isn't a rush for me to install it yet.

Also, I'm running a 5s, doesn't support it yet it says.
Regular 5 it does, hopefully the update corrects that.
I'm currently experiencing issues with the "iPod Error"

I think this is the member you are referring to and I was referring to above.
