Default 2014 is 350 f sport edition negotiating price

So I'm looking to purchase the 2014 IS 350F sport edition. This will be my first car purchase so how do I not get ripped off by the dealership? What is a good price to pay for the vehicle???

My best negotiating advice would be to not buy it, spend the $40k+ on a low mile IS-F and then join our "family" in this section of the forum.

What Mrd916 said. But if you are in the market of a 2014 IS350 F-Sport I would start at the MSRP price and try for atleast 2-4k lower and see what they will say. But it really all depends on the options that you get with the car, which will determine how much you will pay for your new car in the end. GL and happy shopping!

Depends on what part of the country you're at but like some one else said. Its a new body style so, i doubt you see much off MSRP. Depending where in TX you're are at, you can try to get the MSRP price out the door.. (meaning they discounted enough for taxes, title, and fees to include into the MSRP Price. MY guess, that's going to be the best you can get right now. And there's nothing wrong with paying (MSRP) especially "Out the door" for a freshly new production car.

You may be able to get at least $1500 off if you are a COSTCO member

If you are looking to save money and not get ripped off, don't buy a new IS right now. They are very fresh and commanding sticker in many cities. Wait until the weather gets cold in December and deals will start opening up.

Not sure what part of TX you are in but here in the Houston area dealers are not moving off sticker much right now since the car is brand new. Plus since this is truck country the Lexus dealers normally stock mostly SUV's sell off their cars to other markets.

I just bought mine a little over two weeks ago and they wouldn't budge. Of course mine was reserved when it was being shipped from japan. You will have a better chance on getting a deal if the one you want is on the lot. I was offered about $1k off for a color combo I didn't want about the second week of July.

Formal apologies for wrong section, and thank you for the advice. I'll be waiting until about January to see if anything changes....

Smart girl. Wish I could have waited. But soon as I saw one in person and my car being paid off I was screwed.
