How do you pass the time waiting for your car?
I ordered a 2014 IS 350 AWD F Sport (Nebula/Red, Nav, ML) two days ago. So I have two to three months, less two days. That's about 90 or 120 days minus ONLY TWO!!!
I'm told that Lexus does not allow customers to obsessively track the progress of their cars from pre-production through production, transit, port prep and delivery. I can only read the super reviews so many times!
Is there a way to get a copy of the owners manual in advance so I can learn more about the car while I'm waiting?
How have others gotten through this period? I think its going to be harder than waiting out the last few months of my wife's pregnancies years ago.

I just got my car last night. I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow so I wont get to enjoy it for another week. The whole time I was waiting I passed the time by constantly check what others did to their cars on this forum. I also did countless searches on the net to read every article I could find. I think when the dealer was explaining the features to me when I picked up my car I knew more details about the car than he did.
PS I'll post picks of my 3IS 250 AWD F sport when I get back from vacation.

Got through it thanks to this forum and planning for and buying mods for my car. 2+ months flew by so hang in there, next thing you know you'll have it in your driveway.

Since I got the hybrid, I had to learn more about e-CVT and how that worked. A couple of nice videos on youtube where they go into details of how it works (using 2nd and 3rd gen Prius CVTs).
And looking at reviews, reading forums, pestering the dealer about status and so on.
It was a loooong wait.

Speaking of which, can you bless us with another one or two pics of your USB IS to ease the pain of waiting 6 more days to get mine?

Just bought a 3IS-250 AWD today (White exterior/black interior). Was able to negotiate $1700 off after showing him other dealers were giving me around $1200-1500 off. Come prepared and if you have print out of quotes from other dealers, it's a very good bargaining point.
